The Liberia National Police has arrested one Patrick Kollie in connection to the shooting incident that took place last on July 4, 2022 in the Police Academy Community.

Kollie is believed to be a member of the ERU and has since been disrobed hours after news of this sad incident broke up.

The shooting incident left one person dead with the corpse currently deposited at the John F. Kennedy hospital.

Circumstances surrounding the shooting incident are being currently investigated by the Liberia National Police while the suspect remains in Police custody.

The public will be duly informed subsequently. Similarly, a PSU officer is said to have shot a private citizen in New Kru Town during the late hours of July 3, 2022.

The Management of the National Port Authority is grieved by the unfortunate passing of the late Valentine T. Johnson as a result of the shooting incident involving agent Patrick Kollie of the Executive Protection Service.

A release from NPA expresses MD Bill Twehway's profound condolences to the bereaved family of the late Johnson and craves speedy investigation into the matter to ensure justice is served.

The NPA release says while it regrets the situation, Agent Patrick Kollie was NOT on duty with MD Twehway when the incident occurred between the hours of 1 AM on Monday, July 4, 2022 around the Police Academy Area 'as reported by the Police'.

According to the release, the NPA Boss had gone on his routine weekend visit to River Cess while Agent Patrick Kollie was in Monrovia based on excuse to attend to a personal engagement.

The Release quotes the NPA Boss as expressing appreciation to the EPS and the Liberia National Police for investigating the matter as he looks forward to pay an in-person visit to the bereaved family.
