Monrovia, Liberia - The President of the Republic, H.E. Dr. George Manneh Weah, has told residents of District 3, Montserrado County that his responsibility to them and country is great and solid, promising to go the extra miles to bring needed changes in their lives.
Addressing swarms of cheerful residents Thursday, August 18, 2022 at the Town Hall Meeting in continuation of the tour of Montserrado County, President Weah expressed appreciation to the residents for standing with him as their leader, and for the chance given him to steer the affairs of the Republic.
He used the occasion to recount the numerous developments he has undertaken in the district as President, even when he was Senator. He assure District #3 residents that he would to do more as he continues to lead the nation.
Responding to the hordes of request presented to him, President Weah assured the residents that he would not leave any stone unturned in meeting their development needs.
He added: "I got your message and small, small, things will work out."
Some of the projects he pledged to work on include the upgrading of feeder roads in the district as well as the construction of a market building.
President Weah called on residents to make available a land, free of contention, for the market structure in the district.
At the same time, the President stressed the importance of unhindered cooperation between opposition lawmakers and the government as a way of enhancing and achieving development at both local and national levels.

The President said while it is the right of any Liberian, as provided by law, to espouse their political preference, that should not stop them from working with government in the interest of their District and people.
President Weah similarly expressed disappointment in the leadership of the Marketing Association for failing to live up to their commitment to keep all marketers off the roads.
One big challenge facing the government is the blatant disregard and refusal of marketers to sell in market buildings, a situation he said doesn't align with the efforts being made to change the infrastructural outlook of the country.
During the Town Hall Meeting, the residents heaped praises on the President for working very assiduously to develop the country.
They committed themselves to supporting President Weah in the next election to enable him continue on the trajectory of developing the nation.
