Nigeria: New Electricity Tariff - Abuja Disco Names 111 Band 'A' Feeders

With the new electricity tariff approved by the Nigerian Electricity Regulatory Commission (NERC) for Band A customers, the Abuja Electricity Distribution Company (AEDC) has released data showing 111 Feeders under its network currently categorised under Band 'A'

LEADERSHIP reports that this category of customers would now pay the new tariff of N225/KwH as approved by NERC for AEDC.

NERC had on Wednesday approved an upward adjustment of electricity tariff for customers under the Band 'A' classification.

The vice chairman, NERC, Musliu Oseni, said the increase will see the customers paying N225 kilowatt per hour (KW/h) from the current N66.

Oseni also stressed that only customers on Band A will pay the new tariff as customers on Bands B to E will continue to pay the approved tariff as at January 2022.
