Nigeria: Crime Reports Scaring Investors Away From Anambra - Bizman

An Abuja based businessman, Gabriel Chukwunwendu has stated that negative news of cultism, kidnapping and killings being churned out of Anambra state is scaring investors away.

Chukwunwendu, who is Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Pool King Estate, disclosed this at his birthday celebration in Awka, Anambra State at the weekend.

He said there is a high rate of negative news reports on crime and insecurity being churned out from Anambra state and the government is not doint enought to change the narrative which has stopped people from returning to their home state to invest.

Chukwunwendu emphasized the need for a timely reactions or debunking of certain negative security reports for the sake of the image of the state and potential investors.

The Nnewi-born businessman lauded Governor Chukwuma Soludo on road infrastructural projects, which have opened up communities making the value of lands in Awka and in the state to appreciate.

He urged the governor to review the tax system of the government to encourage investors to invest in the state.
