Members of Parliament today expressed fears that the outcome of the next elections may not be credible if the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission will use the manual system of voter registration. Speaking when members of IEBC appeared before a joint Parliamentary group, the MPs sought to know what measures the commission would undertake to ensure the manual registration is not vulnerable to electoral malpractices. IEBC Chairman Ahmed Issack Hassan conceded that the aborted Biometric Voter Registration kits procurement process had been murky but sought to assure the legislators that every effort would be taken to ensure the outcome of the election would be credible.
