New Gas Find in Kenya Excites Prospectors

Months after the discovery of oil in Turkana, Kenya has now discovered natural gas in the Mbawa 1 exploration well in Malindi. The well has encountered approximately 52 net metres, or 170 feet, of natural gas. This announcement of the first off-shore gas discovery in Kenya, was made by Pancontinental Oil and Gas, the Australian firm in charge of the project.
