Kenya Govt Appeals Ruling Legalizing Separatist Group

The government has appealed a High Court ruling that legalized the Mombasa Republican Council. Internal Security Permanent Secretary Mutea Iringo says this emanates from MRC's alleged furtherance of criminal activities as he promises that the crackdown on the group will be escalated. This comes as nominated MP Sheikh Mohammed Dor denied incitement to violence charges preferred against him by the government at the Mombasa High Court a day after his dramatic arrest in Nairobi.
