Kisumu Town West ODM Chairman Shem Onyango Kwega was shot dead by unknown assailants in an incident that also left his wife with serious bullet wounds. The Kisumu politician is said to have just had breakfast with his wife near the town's Mamba Hotel when the couple were accosted by gangsters while in their car, where they were both shot. The incident triggered daylong riots in the lakeside town that have so far left at least four people dead, as Evelyn Wambui reports.
