South Africa's Police Boss Continues to Testify at the Marikana Commission of Inquiry

National Police Commissioner Riah Phiyega has denied that the police plan to disperse a group of protesters in Marikana was disastrous. She has been cross-examined by Advocate Gcina Malindi at the Marikana Commission. Malindi represents the Human Rights Commission and argued that the Generals on the ground failed to assess the situation between the 10th and 16th of August.
