Speaking to journalists before meeting the president at the Presidential Villa, Mr Shettima noted that he was not summoned by the president. "There was an attack on Bama" adding that "we are yet to get the actual number of casualties but I was told that they have inflicted a lot of damage on the town otherwise, the military are doing their best" he said. He said he came to "update" the president on the latest development on the attack dispelling the rumour that he was summoned by the president.
