The Bank Group will, from 18-20 February 2010, participate in an international seminar jointly organized by the Union Internationale des Avocats and the Senegalese Bar on the theme : "International Business Law and Practice in Africa: OHADA's Contribution".

The Organization for the Harmonization of Business Laws in Africa (OHADA) is the body charged with regulating businesses in sixteen African countries. The Dakar conference, which brings together experts from Africa, the United States, China and Europe, will make it possible to evaluate the implementation of the OHADA's new harmonized law and improvements it may make, if necessary.

Through a delegation led by its General Counsel, Kalidou Gadio, the Bank Group will attend the seminar. Besides a presentation on the African Legal Facility, Bank Group representatives will be part of a roundtable dedicated to the institution's experience in infrastructure project financing. This is taking place, thanks to OHADA's harmonization acts.
