What: Forum for sharing resilience innovations and good practices in the Sahel

Who? The African Development Bank, the Sahel Alliance, the Permanent Interstates Committee for Drought Control in the Sahel, the UN Convention to Combat Desertification, the UN Integrated Strategy for the Sahel and the World Food Programme

The African Development Bank, in partnership with the Sahel Alliance, the Permanent Interstate Committee for Drought Control in the Sahel, the United Nations Convention to Combat Desertification, the United Nations Integrated Strategy for the Sahel and the World Food Programme, will hold a forum on 29-30 November to share innovations and good practices on resilience in the Sahel region.

Participants will include government agencies, development partners, non-governmental and civil society organizations, the private sector and other entities that implement projects to build resilience in the Sahel region.

The forum will share technological, governance and financial innovations and proven best practices to increase the resilience of vulnerable communities in the Sahel, which is facing climate change, political insecurity and instability, the Covid-19 pandemic, among other challenges.
