The Société Nationale des Pétroles du Congo (SNPC) is thrilled to announce that its hydrogen project has been nominated for the Africa Investment Forum and Awards (AIFA) 2023's best energy project. This nomination is a testimonial of SNPC's solid commitment to the energy transition and the provision of clean energy solutions to the population of the Republic of Congo. SNPC's energy transition priorities include the promotion of hydrocarbons alongside cleaner technologies, thus putting forth clean fossil fuels such as natural gas, investing in energy transition initiatives, training the workforce for such a transition, and eradicating energy poverty.

Congo actively partakes in raising global awareness about the protection of the environment and the preservation of natural resources. The country is also keen on promoting policies to develop clean energy initiatives and developments. In fact, under the impetus of the President of the Republic, the country has prioritized natural gas and hydrogen in its energy mix. To this end, SNPC is working on energy distribution projects to benefit residents of near onshore operating areas.

SNPC is confident that its hydrogen project will succeed and thrive, thus assuming the missions and projects of the state and guaranteeing a serene future for the Congolese people through structuring and eco-friendly projects.

SNPC is honored to have been nominated for the AIFA 2023. It is undoubtedly evidence of their environmental considerations

The SNPC looks forward to pursuing its work to provide clean energy solutions to the people of the Republic of Congo:

"It is with great pride that we announce our nomination for AIFA 2023's best energy project and to be recognized for our efforts and contribution to the energy transition. This nomination endorses the responsibility we took upon ourselves: one of continuous growth and development for the entire population through fresh eco-friendly initiatives." stated SNPC's Director General, Maixent Raoul Ominga. "At SNPC, we are set to providing clean energy solutions to the population of the Republic of Congo, and we are confident about the value and benefits of our hydrogen projects for the well-being and welfare of our population."
