The African Development Bank, in partnership with the Multilateral Cooperation Center for Development Finance (MCDF) and the Making Finance Work for Africa (MFW4A) initiative, will host the Africa ESG Forum 2024 in Abidjan, Côte d'Ivoire, from -October 21-22, 2024.

Themed "Building a Sustainable Finance Ecosystem for Africa: A Collaborative Approach for ESG Disclosure," the forum will focus on critical discussions surrounding environmental, social, and governance (ESG) disclosure and sustainable finance in Africa. The event provides a platform for insightful dialogue and the sharing of best practices among capital market regulators and operators, investors, senior business leaders, and development partners.

A key highlight of the forum will be the launch of the stakeholders' outreach for the Africa ESG Information Disclosure Hub project. This initiative aims to foster consensus among stakeholders on establishing a centralized platform that will enhance transparency and facilitate investor access to vital ESG data across the continent. The hub will support the integration of ESG principles into the core strategies of African businesses, ultimately driving sustainable development and investment across the region.
