Russia Strengthens African Ties, Amid Growing U.S. Tensions

Relations between Russia and the U.S. have deteriorated over the years and this may have had a bearing on Russia's decision to turn its attentions to new partners in Africa, with Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov visiting Angola, Namibia, Mozambique, Zimbabwe, and Ethiopia recently.
