Tanzania: Defiant Diamond Platnumz Vows to Defy Ban

Authorities in Tanzania have come out in full force against the artist after an indefinite ban on Diamond and his Wasafi Records colleague Rayvanny from performing locally or internationally after they disregarded its ban on their song 'Mwanza' .
The regulatory board has deemed the song, Mwanza, to be inappropriate for public consumption due to its explicit sexual content. Diamond Platnumz's Wasafi Records was ordered to remove the song from all their digital platforms and for the artists to stop promoting the song on their business and personal pages or they will face prosecution. The duo were also fined U.S.$3,900 over their 'dirty song'.
