Food Prices Push Nigeria's Inflation Higher in December
The National Bureau of Statistics has said that the Consumer Price Index, which measures inflation, increased to 11.44 percent in December from 11.28 percent, the highest inflation figure in seven months. The increase in inflation rate, according to financial experts, can be attributed to consumers' spending during the 2018 Christmas season.
