U.S. Indictment Points to Former Mozambique President Guebuza

Close to a dozen suspects, mostly from the previous administration of Armando Guebuza, have already been arrested for their alleged involvement in arguably the worst corruption scandal to hit the resources-rich but poor Mozambique. Among those arrested are Ndabi Guebuza, the former president's son, businessmen and intelligence officials. Now, in an indictment unsealed by the U.S. authorities, Teofilo Nhangumele, is said to have "acted on behalf of former President Armando Guebuza's office".
