Malawi Pilots the World's First Malaria Vaccine

The government is set to roll out a malaria vaccine in children under the age of five from April 23, 2019. John Sande, an official at the National Malaria Control Programme, has said "the country is ready for the vaccine rollout which will target 11 districts of Karonga, Nkhatabay, Ntchisi, Mchinji, Lilongwe, Balaka, Machinga, Mangochi, Chikwawa, Phalombe and Nsanje."
