'With the Africa Free Trade Area, We Are Creating Our Own Future'

Africa has demonstrated "a very huge commitment" to the African Continental Free Trade Agreement (AfCFTA), according to Ambassador Albert M. Muchanga, African Union Commissioner for the Department of Trade and Industry, In an interview with AllAfrica.com's Juanita Williams at the Afreximbank meetings in Russia. Muchanga says implementation of the trade pact - which has been signed by 52 countries and ratified by 24 - demonstrates that Africa will no longer hold a "begging bowl"....
