AllAfrica's Juanita Williams was in Moscow for the Afreximbank meetings - one of the preludes to the October 24 Russia-Africa Summit in Sochi, co-chaired by President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin and Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi, who currently chairs the African Union. She spoke with Dr Hippolyte Fofack, Afreximbank's Chief Economist and Director of Research and International Co-operation, who discussed why Russia was the host and how Africa is "coming back after centuries of slavery and colonisation".
