Civil Society Leaders Targeted in Malawi Post-Election Clampdown?

Human rights advocates Gift Trapence and MacDonald Sembereka who organised marches against President Peter Mutharika's re-election, have now been detained on allegations of fraud. The demonstrators are calling for the resignation of the Chairperson of the Malawi Electoral Commission, Jane Ansah, accusing her of mishandling the May 21 polls.
