Jumbo, Hippo, Zebra Population on the Rise in Tanzania - Report

The aerial wildlife census was conducted between October and November 2018 covering 27 wildlife species in the Selous-Mikumi ecosystem. The report indicates that elephants have increased to 15,501, zebra to 6,190 while the number of hippos rose to 31,086 from 23,243 recorded in 2014.
