Coronavirus Halts Nigerian Pilgrims Hajj Plans

The country's National Hajj Commission has directed prospective Umrah pilgrims to shelve their plans for the lesser Hajj to Saudi Arabia as global efforts to contain the spread of the coronavirus heightens. Saudi Arabia's Foreign Ministry has announced that it will temporarily suspend the entry of foreigners for pilgrimage and tourism purposes, preventing travel to the country's holiest sites.
