COVID-19 - Food Access, Evictions Prompt Anxiety in South Africa

Protests over food parcels have flared up in small pockets of Cape Town, with people complaining that in spite of promises by the government, food parcels are not being delivered. This follows the forced removals of land occupiers and the demolition of informal housing structures despite a government moratorium on evictions amid the national COVID-19 lockdown.
