Dozens Dead in Protests After Death of Oromo Singer in Ethiopia

Addis Standard is quoting a police spokesman as saying that the number of people killed in continued protests after the killing of prominent Oromo artist Haacaaluu Hundeessaa has climbed to 81. Hundeessaa - a singer-songwriter famed for his political songs - was shot dead on Monday evening in Addis Ababa. The Washington Post is reporting that Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed blamed "domestic and foreign enemies" for the singer's death.
