Senegal Names Former Slave Trade Post After George Floyd

The municipal council of the the island of Goree off the coast of West Africa known for its role in the slave trade has changed the name of its main square in response to the death of George Floyd and the global Black Lives Matter movement. 

Tributes to George Floyd, an African American, was killed after being restrained by police in the United States.
