Ticking Time Bomb as Lack of PPE Slows Zimbabwe's Covid-19 Fight

Zimbabwe's biggest referral hospital, Parirenyatwa, has become a new hotspot for Covid-19 as senior health officials are reportedly forcing nurses to work without Covid-19 protective gear. Meanwhile, President Emmerson Mnangagwa's government has prohibited any form of partying during the 2020 festive season as Zimbabwe is not yet out of the Covid-19 pandemic risk. As of December 18, confirmed cases of Covid-19 from Zimbabwe reached 11,866. Reported deaths reached 314 and 9,836 people have recovered.
