The committee wants the government to first monitor compliance in communities and the readiness of schools in ensuring Covid-19 safety protocols. The recent spike in Covid-19 cases has caused anxiety among parents who are calling on the government to change its decision. Nigeria is currently battling a second wave of the pandemic, with more than 110,387 confirmed cases and over 1,435 deaths.
