Oscar Glory for South African Doccie My Octopus Teacher

My Octopus Teacher has won the Oscar for Best Documentary. The heartwarming Netflix documentary features Craig Foster's unusual but fascinating friendship with an octopus in the Atlantic Ocean that he follows around under water for nearly a year. The film was up against four others in the category: Collective, Crip Camp, The Mole Agent, and Time. The documentary was a firm favourite going into the awards, after scooping 20 international awards in the lead-up to the ceremony.
