Hundreds Killed at Displaced People's Camp in Ethiopia

Over 200 people, including more than 100 children, have been killed after a relief camp for internally displaced people in Ethiopia's Afar region was attacked by an unidentified armed group. The attack happened on Friday. According to The Nation some 30,000 displaced people are said to have been sheltering in the area at the time of the attack.

This while UN agencies continue to issue warnings over the growing humanitarian catastrophe in northern Ethiopia, sparked by the conflict in the Tigray region, now in its ninth month.
