Uganda Restricts DNA Testing to Two Labs After Paternity Rush
After Uganda's Deputy Speaker of Parliament Thomas Tayebwa asked government to come up with guidelines on carrying out DNA tests without "breaking up families and ruining the lives of innocent children", the government has responded. The Ministry of Internal Affairs said that requests for DNA tests had gone up by 70%, as more and more men challenge paternity of children using DNA testing.
