New Education System Will Better-Equip Kenyan Learners - Govt

President William Ruto announced that a new education system, based on the report by the presidential working party on education, will come into effect immediately, Capital FM reports.

Kenyan children will be able to explore their talents with the new education system that will inculcate innovation. The president asked stakeholders to direct their attention towards the implementation of the report's recommendations.

The new education system will ease the burden on children and give them room to explore their skills, Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua said.

According to The Convesration, the new curriculum aims at learners constructing their own knowledge and skills through exposure to challenging situations and experience. It is learner-centred and adaptive to the changing needs of students by encouraging innovativeness and creativity. Learners explore and find solutions in classrooms that are connected to real-life situations.
