Southern African Govts Tackle Cholera at Extraordinary Summit

As Zambia and Zimbabwe continue to see a rise in cholera cases the Southern African Development Community (SADC) held a virtual extraordinary summit of heads of state and government on February 2, 2024, to address the cholera situation in the SADC region, writes Nontobeko Mlambo for AllAfrica.

The SADC decided on the implementation of a joint cholera response plan that encompasses natural disasters, climatic effects and to control and tackle the spread of the disease in member states.
