Arrests a Year After Murders of South African Rapper AKA, Tibz

A seventh person has been arrested after rapper Kiernan "AKA" Forbes and businessman Tebello "Tibz" Motsoane were shot dead outside a Durban restaurant a year ago, sending shockwaves across South Africa.

Despite confirming that hitmen were hired to target AKA, the police have not disclosed motives. This latest arrest follows the police's earlier announcement of six suspects detained during the year-long investigation.

Police spokesperson Colonel Robert Netshiunda verified the detention of a 30-year-old suspect, bringing the total number of individuals in custody to seven. Some of the suspects are also implicated in unrelated murder cases.
