South Africa's Black Jews Challenge Israel's Homeland Claim

The Lemba people, a Black Jewish community in South Africa, are questioning the traditional Zionist view of Jewish identity, writes Noah Tamarkin for The Conversation Africa. While genetics confirmed their Jewish ancestry, they don't see Israel as the sole ancestral land for Jews. Instead, they believe Jews originated in Africa and can be indigenous to multiple places.
