Nigerian Govt Responds to UN Session About Christian Killings

Nigeria's Minister of Foreign Affairs, Yusuf Tuggar, has rejected the persistent international claims that the federal government is complicit in, or has failed to prevent, a genocide against Christians in the country, while the Chargé d'Affaires, Permanent Mission of Nigeria to the UN, Syndoph Endoni, said the decision to exclude Nigeria from the discussion, held at the UN headquarters in New York, amounted to "shaving our head in our absence".

The event, focusing on testimony from U.S. rapper Nicki Minaj, was held at the UN headquarters in New York with the Permanent Mission of the U.S. to the UN, against the background of the ongoing accusation by U.S. President Donald Trump claiming Christian persecution in Nigeria.
