Nigeria’s 2027 Presidential Race - 'Newcomer' Eyes Major Upset

As the political climate heats up ahead of Nigeria's 2027 presidential election, analysts have already begun identifying figures who could pose a strong challenge to incumbent President Bola Tinubu.

One such individual is businessman and activist Dr. Gbenga Hashim. Writing for AllAfrica, Chief Paschal Mbawuike describes Hashim as "the best new hope" to lead the nation.

Mbawuike writes that while Hashim may not currently possess the same political clout as the President, he is highly respected internationally, with strong ties in Doha, London, and Washington. "Some friends have described him as the 'Bill Clinton of Nigeria' - the comeback kid."
