Nollywood's Emeka Ike Threatens Suit Over Voter Data Leak

Prominent Nollywood actor Emeka Ike has threatened legal action over the alleged leak of his personal data from the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) portal. This comes after a senior aide in the office of the Federal Capital Territory minister faced public criticism for sharing what appeared to be Ike's private voter information via an INEC webpage.

In a post on X (formerly Twitter), the aide, Lere Olayinka, questioned Ike's decision to run for the House of Representatives in Abuja, saying the actor was previously registered to vote in Imo State. Olayinka attached two images to the post, which users pointed out contained sensitive details accessible only through INEC's administrative login portal.

Ike expressed shock over the official's actions: "He is telling every Nigerian that whoever you are, I can pull your information from anywhere and I can do what I want." The electoral commission has announced that it has launched an investigation into the incident.
