AU Media Partnership Symposium: Building Bridges

The Deputy Chairperson of the African Union Commission (AUC), Mr. Erastus Mwencha, is expected to address the India-Africa Media Partnership Symposium scheduled to take place 21st May 2011, at the Addis Ababa Hilton Hotel, Ethiopia.

Holding under the theme: "Building Bridges", the symposium will bring together journalists from Africa and India to brainstorm on enhancing media engagement and synergies in order to build an Africa India multi-dimensional media partnership.

The symposium will hold within the framework of the Second Africa-India Forum Summit scheduled for 20 to 25 May 2011 at the headquarters of the African Union in Addis Ababa.

Worth recalling that, the Second Africa-Indian Summit Forum falls within the framework of Africa – India partnership. It is a follow-up to the first Africa-India Summit Forum which took place in New Delhi from 4 to 9 April 2008, during which the New Delhi Declaration and Framework for Co-operation were adopted.
