Angola, Japan Analise Cooperation

Luanda — The state of bilateral cooperation, in the most varied areas of political, diplomatic, economic and commercial life between Angola and Japan, was analyzed Wednesday in Luanda by authorities of both countries.

The issue was addressed during an audience that the Secretary of State for International Cooperation and Communities Abroad, Domingos Vieira Lopes, granted the Japanese ambassador to Angola, Jiro Maruhashi.

According to a press release from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Japanese diplomat announced the preparations for the Summit of Heads of State and Government of TICAD, to be held on 27 and 28 August in Tunis, Tunisia.

TICAD is the Tokyo International Conference on African Development held regularly with the aim of "promoting high-level political dialogue between African leaders and development partners.

The meeting also served to review the situation of the two individuals on the signing of the exchange of notes, relating to the payment of Angola's debt to Japan, as well as analyzing bilateral cooperation, mainly the Agreement on Reciprocal Investment Protection and the Visa waiver Agreement for Diplomatic and Official Passports.
