Kampala, Uganda — President Yoweri Museveni has said Uganda cannot take the risk of cutting subsidies and removing taxes from imported products.

"That would be definite suicide. It will deplete both family savings and National Reserves, leading to the inability to pay for imports," he said in his address on the rising prices of goods.
