Kenya: Tana River MCA Dies in Garsen-Malindi Road Accident

Nairobi — Hamisi Idd, Tana River's Chewani ward representative died in a road accident that occurred along the Garsen-Malindi highway on Saturday morning.

The deceased who was serving his first term, was elected in August 2022 under the United Democratic Alliance (UDA) ticket.

At the time of his death, Iddi was the Minority Leader in the county Assembly of Tana-River.

While condoling with Idd's family, the UDA party said that they had lost a focused and dedicated leader who put the interests of his people first.

"During this moment of grief, we pray for the soul of the departed, his family, and the people of Chewani ward. May his soul rest in eternal peace," the party said.
