Washington, DC — To mark World AIDS Day The Africa Society will host the Honorable Dr. Monde Muyangwa, Assistant Administrator for Africa, US Agency for International Development (USAID) in a discussion of PEPFAR policy in Africa.

USAID has played a critical role in the global HIV/AIDS response, and since 2003 has helped lead the implementation of PEPFAR in coordination with governments, the private sector, and international organizations. PEPFAR continues to deliver life-saving HIV treatment to more than 25 million people globally.
