Kenya: Govt to Earn Sh5bn From Its Stake in Kenya Pipeline Company

Nairobi — The government will earn Sh5 billion from the Kenya Pipeline Company (KPC) for the full year ending June 2023.

KPC Managing Director Joe Sang and Energy Cabinet Secretary Davis Chirchir stated that the dividend check will be handed over to Treasury Cabinet Secretary Njuguna Ndung'u tomorrow.

The Sh5 billion dividend earnings come after the KPC profit increased by 21 percent to Sh6.3 billion during the 2022-2023 financial year.

KPC is a state corporation that is primarily owned by the government.

Its ownership is split between the National Treasury and the Ministry of Petroleum and Mining, with 99.9 percent and 0.1 percent stakes, respectively.
