Nairobi — At least 12 African Ministers of Education are expected to gather in Nairobi for the 6th Forum of the Partnership for Skills in Applied Sciences, Engineering, and Technology (PASET).

Set for April 23-25, the forum aims to unite academia, industry, and governments to shape the continent's skills, education, and entrepreneurship landscape.

Under the theme "Leveraging Technical, Vocational, and Technical Training (TVET) in the knowledge and skills ecosystem for Africa's industrialization," the conference will delve into Africa's transition to a green economy and the future of work.

With over 500 participants, it promises robust discussions on pivotal issues.

In a statement, Education Cabinet Secretary Ezekiel Machogu emphasized Africa's need to cultivate relevant skills and advance scientific research and technology. He expressed confidence in achieving transformative objectives through collective efforts.

The forum will explore the requisite knowledge and skills for Africa's industrialization, emphasizing the integration of digital technologies like AI, robotics, and data analytics into the continent's entrepreneurial ecosystem.

PASET member countries will exchange insights on skill evolution and youth preparation for the job market.

The event will also showcase the contributions of the Regional Scholarship and Innovation Fund (RSIF) scholars in addressing green economy needs and future work demands.

Mentors, supervisors, and stakeholders will join in highlighting innovative solutions from Africa's higher education sector.
