This Nigerian Opposition Merger Party,so called APC is not a solution to our national problem of misgovernance. Patriotic Nigerians must mobilise for an SNC whereby, our corporate togetherness could be renegotiated.A new constitution based on true federalism and secularity will be paramoun.Nigerians must return to our old Parliamentry Democracy. This merger of erstwhile Islamic dominated parties don't stand for progress at all.In Islam there is no separation of politics and government. All Islamic institutions must be banned;no OIC,G8,G15 or sharia.Alternatively Nigerians should call for a referendum whereby Nigerians must be given the option to choose between a secular and Islamic Republic.

This is a mixed bag for Nigerian politics. On one hand, this merger may prevent ethnocentrism of political parties. The ACN is now seen as a Yoruba party, ANPP as a Hausa-Fulani party, and APGA as an Igbo party. That is good on one hand. However, these parties have ideological differences and appear to be only united to unseat President Goodluck Jonathan. I wonder if they have reconciled these things or this union will fracture along ideological and perhaps religious lines? Another problem we must confront is rather the new APC will represent the real change Nigeria needs or will it be more of the same? Some of the characters there are career politicians much like those in the PDP. That raises some questions about how much change will really come to Nigeria.
