  Genevieve's dress was a complete fashion flop! I personally consider it a disgrace to feminine dignity. Denrele who interviewed her as she was coming in for the show didn't even know where to look. What on earth would lead such a talented and beautiful actress to lose her dignity so badly? Genevieve, please change. Nothing on earth can justify such dressing. Modesty is very compatible with being fashionable. That dress was so indecent and so unchristian...Is this how you want to bring up your daughter? That dress was plain cheap!!! Never again please!

  Besides my great disappointment in Genevieve's vulgar outfit (I wonder if her designer will dress his daughter or sister like he dressed Genevieve), I was also disappointed that most of the stars were not dressed in our magnificent traditional outfits. Rather, most were imitating what foreigners wear during Oscars...and presented a poor copy. Considering how advanced traditional fashion is now, I would have thought we would show case our elegant designs to the rest of the world. So many overweight women would have looked much better in our fabulous long skirt traditional wears. The guys too would've looked really regal. My people,lets overcome this colonial mentality and begin to embrace and proudly showcase what we have. It is also African to show feminine modesty. Lets not lose this in our attempt to "wanna be". Any day, any time, a beautiful decent woman has more appeal than a woman who is half-naked in the name of fashion.
