Competition is heightening in the race is on to lead Nigeria's Senate, who president is second in line to the presidency. The leading candidiate is Bukola Saraki, Senator and former governor of Kwara State. Supporters say he will effectively support President Mohammadu Buhari's legislative priorities and point to his ongoing attack on alleged fraud related to the country's oil subsidy as evidence of the Senator's anti-corruption agenda.
