Nigerian Gay Rights Activist Granted Asylum in UK After 13 Years

Aderonke Apata had argued her sexuality meant she could be killed if deported to her home country. The UK Home Office had previously denied refugee status to Apata and accused her of lying about being in a lesbian relationship.
